Sabel
Main character design for Sabel. Still need to work on the title font, but will all be coloured in a watercolour style.
New comic!!
I have decided to shelve my first comic idea 'Plethora'. The main reason being is that it is far too convoluted, when I try to explain the story I lose them, it has too much stuff in it and needs A LOT of simplifying.
So instead I came up with a new idea, entitled 'Sabel'. It's a sci fi western and a revenge story, I've thought it all out (mostly) and have begun working on it, I really like the story I have created and I can't wait to see it through to completion and hopefully get it published!
Brief plot synopsis below!!

'Stern Ern'
Introducing 'Stern Ern'. One of the secondary characters from my new in progress comic 'Sabel'. Ern is the main characters protector and carer, he's a lawman and a fierce gunslinger, anyone who faces Ern in a shoot out best be prepared, he won't go down easy and is nigh impossible to kill.
Scar
My girlfriend also loves The Lion King, she said for me to draw Simba but instead I drew Scar as he's more fun to draw :)
Assembly Line
More robots! I like seeing them in a state of completion, or damaged. I think it's more visually appealing than a clean cut and polished robot.
Tribe Queen
I really liked designing the crown for this sketch. I felt like that was all she needed to show her power.
Lock Jaw
Lock Jaw was once a fine butcher bot working in the meat industry; but ever since L day his body has been taken over by a savage and morbid personality. He is now known as Carl 'Cleaver' Johnson and is wanted for multiple murder accounts.
Head swapper King
So he could reign eternal, the mighty King would pick a new sacrifice every 100 years. The chosen would be beheaded and their head would be the new ruling face of the monarchy- it is considered a great honour.
Grunt
Other than the Borderlands and Batman Arkham game series; Halo has to be one of my favourites, not just for the game play and character design but I love the lore.
Mightier than the sword
Really happy with this design, especially how her sword is in the shape of a fountain pen nib and that she carries a pot of ink on her belt.
Tribal A.I
I thought it'd be cool to have an A.I that was taken from a tribesman, something to put a spin on it.
Cat Mech
Sometimes when I'm stuck to sketch something, I ask my girlfriend. She loves cats so I took that and sketched this weird life support- cat mech thing :) pretty happy with it and I like the idea of thrusters instead of legs.
King Toad
I find myself always making up stories and backstories for things; I really like folklore tales and fairy tales, it's a great well of resource.
Green Griffin
There's so much great stuff in mythology that's great when thinking of something to draw. It's something I've always been interested in.
Step into the ring
I like mixing up the themes for my sketches to help make them more interesting, without over killing it, for example a demon sumo wrestler.
Reanimated
I prefer the way old, clunky tech looks so I always adopt that into my style when I can; tubes, wires, dials etc it's all good.
Anytime
Always been a fan of Predator :) but Xenomorphs are still my favourite, still need to sketch one at some point.
Reconnaissance Robot
The best thing about robots is that they're machines, they don't have to conform to anatomy rules especially if they're built for specific purposes. for example this guy is a reconnaissance bot, I took inspiration from a snail as he can extend and retract his neck.
Witchcraft
This one was inspired a bit by Kiki's Delivery Service. I like the idea of a cute witch as opposed to the stereotype hag witch, but that would be fun to draw too!
